Public Awareness Outreach Representative (Contract)
Alabama Lifespan Respite (ALR), a statewide program of UCP Huntsville, is seeking a motivated and personable individual to serve as a Public Awareness Outreach Representative. In this role, you will be the face of ALR at community events across Alabama, connecting family caregivers with the vital respite resources and support they need to thrive.
What You’ll Do
As an Outreach Representative, you will manage our presence at health fairs, resource expos, and agency conferences. Your primary goal is to ensure that family caregivers in Alabama feels supported.
- Represent ALR: Set up and manage engaging exhibit booths/vendor tables at community events.
- Educate & Connect: Distribute awareness materials (brochures, applications) and answer questions about ALR’s reimbursement programs and services.
- Coordinate: Communicate with event organizers regarding logistics and booth placement.
- Report: Submit brief online participation reports within 72 hours of each event.

- Flexible Scheduling: We work with you to schedule activities on dates and times that fit your availability and our program needs.
- Contract Basis: Compensation is paid per onsite event.
- Travel Support: Includes per diem reimbursement for travel, including overnight hotel stays when necessary.
- Support Provided: We provide all training, promotional items, and display materials.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to transport and set up exhibit materials (setup and breakdown required).
- A passion for supporting families and community-based services.
