Parent Group
March 8, 2021 @ 10:00 am - February 8, 2022 @ 11:00 am
NOTICE: Until further notice, please use the information posted here for virtual group attendance.
Our Parent Group curriculum focuses on special needs issues and are primarily facilitated by our Parent Educator, but trainings are also provided by community service providers and have included licensed counselors and behavior therapists.
Parent Groups are free and open to any parent, grandparents, or other caregiver of children with special needs. UCP Parent Groups follow Huntsville City Schools’ calendar and do not meet during the summer. Parent Groups are a program of UCP’s Family Connections program, which promotes family networking and support, mentoring between new and veteran families within the disability community, resource information, and referrals. This program is funded through grants from the Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention.
For more information, call UCP’s Parent Educator Kendall Hampton at 256-852-5600 or by email at khampton@ucphuntsville.org. Or, to connect on Facebook, ask to join the group ParentsofUCPHuntsville.
